Brandy will guide you through a series of relaxing, supported restorative yoga poses using props such as bolsters & blocks, while Melissa offers some gentle hands-on assists and mini-massage throughout the duration of the class. This will be a safe space designed to help you find time to be still, to rest & to heal. There will be calming breathwork offered, as well as a guided meditation to close.

SUMMER SOLSTICE In The Park

Have you ever tackled 108 Sun Salutations on the Summer Solstice? Join some of your favourite yoga instructors from around our community as we come together to honour the summer solstice.

This heat-building meditation helps us detoxify, reground, and activate our prana, or life force, as we move buried emotions out of the body and let go of what no longer serves us. The summer solstice is a time of honoring the Earth and the Sun’s blessing of warmth and light. It is the marking point half way through the year, the height of summer, and the earth's longest day and shortest night.

Solstice means 'standing of the sun' and it is a time that we can connect to this great turning point in the Earth's yearly cycle. On this day, we will take a moment to stop and stand still, look back at what we have achieved from the winter's solstice, and look forward to the opening of the doorway to the next half of the year to what we might like to achieve.

We are so excited to team up with Beyond Adventures to bring you Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga (SUP Yoga) downtown at the Snye! Take your Yoga onto the water to practice balance & stability, increase your confidence, breathe freely and openly, meditate with the sound of water & nature and enjoy the outdoors while doing something fun & active!

Join Yoga Instructor Matt Clements and certified Paddleboard Instructor Dave Stirling for this 60 minute session on the water. Immerse yourself in nature, connecting mind and body as we flow through yoga poses with the water beneath us and the sky above. A beautiful way to harmonize body and spirit. This is an all levels yoga class that is suitable for new and beginner paddlers. No SUP experience is needed, just a yearning for adventure and fun out on the water!

No board? No problem! Paddleboards will be available to rent on site through Beyond Adventures at an additional cost of $20 for the hour.

Carla will lead you through an hour long slow flow class to bring you into the present moment while we get curious about what we are storing in the body and the stories we tell ourselves about what we find. We will move through simple postures to open up the whole body, finishing off with deep stretches and breath to lead into savasana. In this interactive workshop we will explore the breath, the fascia and the body through the lens of Block Therapy™; a unique self-care practice for all ages and abilities.
Block Therapy™ is a novel approach to health that is part meditation, exercise and therapy rolled into one. You will be guided through a series of postures using the Block Buddy, each held for 3 minutes as you focus on your diaphragmatic breath. The self-applied pressure from the bamboo block combined with the internal heating from your breath allows for a gentle, yet deep release of adhesions that have formed in your body over the course of a lifetime.

This opens up your body for improved energy, oxygen and nutrient flow to cells, while maximizing waste removal. Finally, you are shown how to strengthen key postural foundations to help realign the body to ensure optimal flow is maintained.
In this workshop we will discuss the role of fascia in health, especially as it relates to pain and mobility as well as the key pillars of Block Therapy™ which are to create, inflate and maintain internal space.
Leave this workshop feeling a sense of release and relief in the body while feeling calm and centered in your mind. No experience required. All Blocks are provided.

Spring is in the air, and a natural rhythm of emerging is taking place. The energy is shifting from hibernating to budding, making now the perfect time to mindfully evaluate our habits and actions. We can take advantage of the natural energy boost of the season if we are aware of it and focus our energy, as a little seedling sprouting towards the sun does!

Chelsea will start the class with a talk explaining the energy shift and how humans are connected to it. Then diving into practical strategies to help support you benefiting from this naturally occurring buzz of energy, and finally, closing with a fun little yoga class to shake off the winter and attune to spring! All levels welcome!
