This class builds on the basics of your Pilates practice. Once you have an idea of the fundamentals [breathing, basic core activation and a neutral spine] you can begin to upgrade your practice into a full body workout that challenges not only your physical, but your mental too. Intermediate Pilates focuses on complete muscle activation and we usually target a specific muscle group per class. This allows us to really challenge our mind - muscle connection, facilitates postural improvement as well as your ability to activate your core. There will be options for both weaker and stronger bodies, so that all can participate no matter your strength level. After all, Pilates is about good technique and not about being the strongest in the room. We recommend you give gentle Pilates or Pilates Fusion a try first if you have never done Pilates before.
